JULY
The Rose weere ready to kick start their season. It would be a tricky campaign. the first game was upon The Rose had an inter toto 3rd round away tie against Leiria in Portugal.
 
The Rose Won 4-1 With goals from Taffy, Adz and Kev(2).
The next fixture was a draw 0-0 with 22000 packing into Allan Park.
 
Glen Johnson joined on loan untill the end of the season and the Rose tabled a 5.25 Million bid for Shola Ameobi to bolster the sides strike force.
 
The next tie was at home against Wolfsberg. This time 31000 stood and watched the mighty rose only hit one shot on target, Kev blast his penalty over the bar, Taffy get injured and John get sent off after 5 minutes.
the 2nd leg was better, as the Rose dominated but it was another 0-0 draw. It went to penalties.
Wolfsberg went first.

The Rose won 3-1 on pens. Taffy was out for 6 weeks.
 
AUGUST
Neogiations halted between Newcastle and The Rose for Ameobi and The Rose rejected four bids for Rob, Kev and Neil. Mape joined Reading On loan untill October.The Rose were drawn against Lazio in the Inter Toto Final. Anderlecht beat the Rose 2-0 in a freindly. But The Rose bounced back with a 76-0 win over the Soccer AM Badgers Kev nabbed a hat trick, Gaz scored a free kick, Adz and Kensie wrapped it up.
The first leg of the I.T final saw the Rose drew 1-1 in the away tie with Craig scoring right at the start.
Barcelona, Juventus and Lyon enquired about craig whioch was rejected. Craig handed in a transfer request which was rejected.
The Rose also needed to strengthen the squad and they brought in Jamie o' Grady from aylesbury for 3k, Billy Beechers 55k from Oxford, Luis Cembranos on free. Earnshaw also joined for 3 months from The 'relegated' West Brom.
contract neogiations with Japp Stam, Lee Bowyer, Ian Harte and john Heitinga.
A 6.75 million bid was rejected from Man Utd, and a loan bid for Keiran Richardson was also rejected. Nicola Avitable joined to back up Gaz and Glover in goal. A 30 million bid from Barcelona For Rob was rejected.
The first game of the season saw the Rose get hammered by Chelsea 6-1 . Kev nabbing the only goal.
The first home game saw a 3-3 draw against Birmingham, Emile Heskey scored a hat-trick. Craig, Gaz and Steve getting the first point. the stadium was 3/4 full with 64000 packed into it.
